spoga gafa Grill Equipment News 2027
Campingaz has completely overhauled its popular party grill series. This is likely to pique the interest of camping enthusiasts in particular. Nicolas Pidel, Marketing Director at Campingaz, demonstrates the quality of the new compact gas grill to FIRE&FOOD at spoga.
The spoga+gafa 2026, held in Cologne from June 22 to 24, is a prime example of a shift that has been apparent in the industry for years. With only 23,500 trade visitors, the trade fair recorded nearly half as many guests as before the pandemic. At the same time, the international share rose significantly: 92 percent of exhibitors and 66 percent of trade visitors came from outside Germany. This development raises a central question: What does this mean for the barbecue market?
As the leading trade fair for the industry, spoga has traditionally thrived on the interaction between its participants. Manufacturers present innovations, while retail partners search specifically for new, marketable products. However, the balance is wavering. When well-known grill manufacturers increasingly withdraw from the trade fair—as can be observed currently—the incentive for retailers to attend decreases. This causes established grill brands to increasingly lose importance. A downward spiral… But placing the responsibility for this solely on the trade fair is an oversimplification. Rather, the grill industry itself is under an obligation to provide stronger momentum and actively help shape the relevance of its own grill brands. A look at the exhibited product innovations underscores this development: the preview of the 2027 grill season is comparatively sparse and remains incomplete. Numerous well-known brands chose not to present their innovations in Cologne—a signal that the industry cannot afford to ignore.
1. Le Marquier
From plancha to fire plate: French grill brand Le Marquier is showcasing a gas-powered model at spoga for the first time.
2. Barbecook
Barbecook is returning to its roots with charcoal grilling. Several new ideas and a good price-performance ratio make this charcoal grill particularly attractive for beginners.
3. Hörmann
Garages and boxes for grills and accessories are a sensible alternative to covers, etc., and help maintain the value of the equipment.
4. Cozze
With a broad range of grill equipment and accessories, the Danish brand Cozze has recently gained significant presence in the German market. It’s no wonder—the Danes are responding to market trends like pizza ovens and outdoor kitchens with innovative ideas for a wider customer base.
5. Enders
Attention-grabbing: Enders is presenting the UNIQ outdoor kitchen at spoga, complete with all the bells and whistles, for 3,000 euros. The UNIQ will be available starting January 2027. Enders has also expanded its line of plancha models. In terms of accessories, the digital lid thermometer catches the eye; it can replace an existing thermometer and allows for monitoring via app.
6. Petromax
The Magdeburg-based company brought special new products to spoga, including the PX Fire Center and the Griddlespot table grill. An enameled Dutch Oven is also new.
7. Redfire
The Dutch brand Redfire presented fire bowls in a wide variety of designs, shapes, colors, and materials. Pictured is the Doro, a smokeless fire bowl.
8. Outta
There were many new products to see at Outta, from gas grill stations to outdoor kitchens. These high-quality modules in elegant black are already in high demand, as we were told at the booth.
9. KASAI
They are finding more and more fans: Japanese Konro grills. The high-quality grills from Kasai are inspired by Japanese design. We took a special look at the Kasai Konro Asado grill. Designed as a table grill, it is available starting at around 600 euros.
