Product test: Weber Genesis E-325s

Not everything always has to be reinvented. Often the better way is to make an even better product out of a tried and tested, good product. That is what makes a good brand. Weber likes to go down this path, and the Genesis is no exception. The Genesis series includes 16 different models, all in a black version, some in stainless steel. Weber provided us with the Genesis E-325s in black for the FIRE&FOOD grill test.

Data and assembly
The grill arrived at our publishing house well packaged in a large box. A very well-made instruction manual guided us safely through the numerous individual parts. Two strong frame elements for the substructure and proper screws allow for a very stable construction. The four reworked gas burners installed in and on the cast aluminum base are perfectly positioned, as are the cables for the ignition and the gas hose. The cooking chamber (48 x 65 cm) is equipped with 2-part enameled cast iron grates. These can be expanded with the Gourmet Barbecue System (Pizzastone, Plancha, Wok etc.).

Operation
The ignition system is designed in such a way that it is guaranteed to ignite. The improved burners generate an even heat distribution on the grill grates and the sear zone with 3.8 kW provides enough power to brand several steaks at the same time. The idea of the fold-out warming rack allows the available grill area (27 x 65 cm) to be increased significantly. The height of the cooking chamber (28 cm) is particularly worth mentioning, which offers an advantage when grilling on a spit.

Conclusion
The excellent workmanship of the Genesis is evident on all levels. High stability, good enamel quality, decent burner performance and everything packaged in a matching design line. The optionally available Gourmet Barbecue System makes the grill even more versatile.
The Weber Genesis E-325s convinced the FIRE&FOOD editorial team and we give it a clear purchase recommendation.
