BBQ DAY in Bayreuth: Meeting point for BBQ gourmets
What a fantastic event! A big thank you to all the grill masters and all the BBQ DAY supporters.
Elmar Fetscher, the winner of the darts competition Michael Landener and maximizer Max Hopp.
On Father's Day, the Liebesbier event location in Bayreuth transformed into a lively and enjoyable meeting place for BBQ lovers. Around 500 guests took the opportunity to indulge in culinary delights from experienced grill masters from the international grill and barbecue scene – and receive valuable preparation tips for grilling at home.
Excellent barbecue in a cozy atmosphere was the order of the day at the FIRE&FOOD BBQ DAY in Bayreuth on the May holiday. David Pietralla, Klaus Breinig, Lucki Maurer, Heiko Arndt, Bernd Siefert, Giuseppe Messina, Hawk Blackburn, Big Bubba, Heiko Antoniewicz, and Wolfgang Müller all shared their expertise up close, offering exciting insights into their grilling and BBQ skills and sharing exclusive tips and tricks during preparation. Their grilled menus delighted guests, some of whom had even traveled long distances for this unique experience, and were virtually celebrated by them. The tasty grilled food, such as the Swabian Hall Landschwein, also scored points with the BBQ gourmets and was supplied by well-known meat retailers and (online) butchers such as Yourbeef, Kreutzers, British Lamb, Otto Gourmet, and Freyberger. The relaxed BBQ event was rounded off with suitable drinks such as beers from the Maisel brewery, soft drinks from Bionade, wine from the Franken GWF wine association as well as whiskey and gin from Singold and Badger Mountain.
Those interested in the latest grill and BBQ equipment and seeking inspiration for their own garden, patio, or balcony found what they were looking for at the presentation by Grilldorado, a grill shop from Bad Windsheim. Here, they could take a close look at appliances from Gozney, Rösle, BSTRD, and Merklinger. Monolith models also attracted considerable interest – Sebastian Kapuhs, Monolith specialist, editor, and passionate hunter and angler, vividly explained why grilling and barbecuing with ceramic grills is so versatile. Jan Otto demonstrated his fire plate for fire barrels – as did Glutwerk Rhön.
The trio of exhibitors from Dry Ager, Beefer, and Kreutzers formed a dream island for meat lovers. Manuel Oster impressed with his Wagyu steaks prepared on the Beefer. Grill-Control had everything under control with its control system for gas grills, and Rock'n'Rubs added just the right amount of spice.
Radio host Nik Herb provided the perfect entertainment to accompany the culinary highlights and also hosted the entire program. The performance by Maximizer Max Hopp, supported by the Kreuz Bayreuth Darts Club, generated particular interest among the audience. In a tournament hosted by Max, Michael Landener hit the target best and took home a Napoleon gas grill.
A huge thank you for their outstanding performance goes to all the grill masters and all the event supporters. To all the helpers, without whom such an event would not be possible, to the Liebesbier team, and to all the visitors who so openly shared their enthusiasm. This day impressively demonstrated how culinary diversity by and around the fire inspires people and brings them together.
