There are situations in life where a lack of space and cramped conditions can become a problem. Anyone traveling with a backpack and/or motorcycle knows this. With the Skotti Booster, the Meerbusch-based camping grill brand Skotti has developed a solution that allows you not to go without a warm meal on the go. FIRE&FOOD took a closer look at the little one.

Data and Assembly:
The Booster is a foldable gas stove with an optional grilling function and comes in a compact retail package measuring 12 x 17.5 cm. Inside, in a Skotti-designed bag, is everything needed for boosting: The grill in foldable and insertable individual parts, additional connection parts, and a lighter. Additionally, only a gas cartridge is required for operation. To grill on the gas stove, an optional pan from Skotti is required. When assembled, the stove measures 13 x 9.5 x 9.3 cm, and the burner's output is 2.1 kW. With a little practice, assembly can be completed in under 1 minute.
In Operation:
The burner is at operating temperature immediately after ignition. Temperature control requires some finesse, but it is certainly manageable even for those with less dexterity. In the placed pan (20 x 15 cm), a meal can be quickly heated and water boiled for pasta or hot drinks. Caution: The housing also gets very hot and should therefore always be placed on a non-combustible surface.

Conclusion:
The Skotti Booster is suitable for cooking and grilling – making it probably the smallest grilling device in the world that even fits in a jacket pocket. Even when space in a backpack & co. is extremely limited on the go, there's definitely still room for the Booster. Its typical Skotti design makes it unmistakable, and the quality is as high as one would expect from a Skotti.
