Grill(s) & Equipment:
• Fire pit or mobile grill, pan
Ingredients
• 300 ml milk
• 2 eggs
• 50 g sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 6 slices of stale toast or white bread
• Oil and/or butter or clarified butter for frying
• 1 bowl of blueberries
preparation
➊ Mix the milk with the eggs and sugar. Place the bread slices in a baking dish and pour the egg mixture over them. Let them soak, turning them carefully until the milk is absorbed by the bread all around – the slices shouldn't get too soft.
➋ Heat the pan, add oil and/or butter or clarified butter and fry the slices of toast in batches, add the fresh blueberries and fry briefly.
➌ Arrange on plates and dust with cinnamon.
Elmar's BBQ tip: "From July to September, it's blueberry season in the Swedish forests. Everyman's Rights apply here, meaning anyone can pick and enjoy the berries for their own needs."
