UPDATE FIRE&FOOD BBQ WEEK

Statement by Elmar Fetscher, CEO of FIRE&FOOD on the current situation of BBQ WEEK

There are easier ways to plan an event in the current Corona situation. The health and economic risks cannot be assessed. And given the current situation, we must assume that, at least until the summer, events and gatherings, if they can take place, will only be allowed to take place if very strict hygiene measures are observed. Because of the legal requirements, some of which are still unknown, permits for a trade fair are only issued by the regulatory authorities at very short notice. This means that the lead time for proper planning of a barbecue fair is too short. We are therefore forced to postpone the start of the barbecue fair.

What we definitely want to do, however, are the various BBQ WEEK program items. We are working on being able to hold the SCA Steak Championship , the Dutch Oven Competition and the Master Classes . With these three program items, we are able to respond to the required scenarios in April at short notice.

Teams can register for the competitions on the landing pages. The landing page for registering for the Dutch Oven competition is already up and registration for the SCA championship can also be completed. Registration for the master classes will also be possible in February. We look forward to your participation.

We at FIRE&FOOD believe that doing nothing is not an option!
