THE HUBERT tree planting campaign: Sycamore seedlings for climate protection

Plant your sycamore maple!
An event organized by the hunting fair DIE HUBERT (16.09. – 18.09.2022) in Münsingen on the Swabian Alb .

The hunting and adventure fair DIE HUBERT, organized by FIRE&FOOD, offers visitors a unique flair with a natural character. Because we love our nature, we want to actively support climate and environmental protection and become as CO2-neutral as possible as a trade fair in the coming years. A first step towards this is, among other things, DIE HUBERT's tree planting campaign in 2022 to counteract the threat to our forests.

Visitors to the fair can purchase a sycamore seedling from a regional tree nursery online and either take it home from the fair and plant it themselves, or they can take part in our tree planting campaign* in September and plant the seedling with us in the Swabian Alb. Of course, we will also plant the seedlings in the absence of the buyers if they are unable to do so.

Since our local forests are now having difficulty coping with the changing climate conditions and the consequences such as bark beetle infestation, reforestation with resilient trees has become very important. Healthy mixed forests are one goal. By planting sycamore maple, we are getting a little closer to this goal! It is an important representative of its species both as a park tree and in terms of forestry. The seedlings are 50-80 cm (!) tall and have roots in a biodegradable pot that can be planted in its entirety. Sycamore maple can grow up to 30 meters tall and be 500 years old.

Are you coming to DIE HUBERT? Then get your trade fair ticket now and your sycamore maple seedling for €6 and plant hope for our forest and a better tomorrow!
