The new FIRE&FOOD will be released on November 20th!
The new FIRE&FOOD issue will be published on November 20th, 2020 under the title "Gans gut!" For winter grilling with lots of variety, fun and enjoyment.
Dear readers,
I don't know how you feel right now. At the moment, it seems to me as if I'm treading water and at the same time have to increase the speed more and more in order to at least not fall into a backwards movement. Where does that come from? Covid is undoubtedly a reason for it. The effort involved in planning for the future is enormous, after all, there always has to be a plan B. Sometimes with Covid, hopefully again without Covid, with a partial lockdown or a complete lockdown. Who knows what else will happen in 2021.
Looking back on the last few months, Covid led to people retreating to their homes. The canceled vacation trips in particular meant that many people invested their vacation budget in their gardens and barbecues. Some brand manufacturers were surprised by the high demand and were soon unable to deliver. The year was very changeable for FIRE&FOOD. While kiosk sales collapsed at the beginning of the lockdown, the summer print edition had already reached the previous year's level and the digital editions recorded strong growth. Despite the many canceled events, we managed to hold our first own trade fair "DIE HUBERT" in September, despite and with Covid. With many enthusiastic guests, satisfied exhibitors and beautiful autumn weather, the hunting fair was a success. Just a note - the BBQ WEEK will also take place at the Albgut in Münsingen in 2021.
The limited travel options meant that our barbecue stories in this issue also focused on Germany. We went hunting in the Uckermark and had a demonstration shown to us how to make a game sausage. On Borkum, Thorsten Eickmann surprised us with a delicious fish soup and in Sielmingen in Swabia, Markus Mack fired up his pellet smoker. I was particularly impressed by Conny's Christmas Stollen, which you absolutely have to try.
Long-time FIRE&FOOD readers know that winter grilling brings a lot of variety, fun and enjoyment. The FIRE&FOOD issue 04/2020 also contains a lot of creative grilling ideas. Find them and send us a picture to redaktion@fire-food.com . The most creative winter grilling picture will be rewarded by FIRE&FOOD.
Stay healthy!
Always a great heat under the grill wishes you
