Back to 2001 - when it all began. In autumn 2001, the spoga in Cologne gave the FIRE&FOOD initiators the initial spark to launch their magazine. An idea became concrete: to show people that grilling and BBQ is not just a colourful spring theme, but can be an important element of a nascent outdoor cooking culture all year round.
A lot has changed in the meantime. People grill 365 days a year and the grills and accessories have advanced immensely in technical terms. Gas grills, kamado grills, pellet grills and planchas or griddles have become popular. Bratwurst and neck steak are no longer the only food that is grilled. And the trend is set to continue. With the live event - the FIRE&FOOD BBQ WEEK at the Motorworld Cologne - we will succeed in doing this!
On Friday, September 5, 2025, there will be a dealer day for the first time at BBQ WEEK (trade only). On Saturday and Sunday, the event will be a BBQ festival for everyone. A special highlight is the already legendary BBQ Night, and further program items will be added in the coming weeks. Cologne, here we come!
