FIRE&FOOD Grillup – WBQA European Plancha Championship 2026

The WBQA European Plancha and Griddle Plate BBQ Championship will take place this year at the FIRE&FOOD BBQ WEEK in Cologne. On Saturday and Sunday (September 5th and 6th, 2026), the first FIRE&FOOD Grillup will be all about professional preparation of delicious grilled dishes on the plancha.

Grill teams from all over Europe will battle it out in different categories at the first FIRE&FOOD Grillup for the title "WBQA European Plancha Champion 2026". This great opportunity to give the plancha broad public attention again was the decisive argument for FIRE&FOOD to hold a European BBQ Championship.

After the WBQA agreed to adapt its competition criteria for the FIRE&FOOD Grillup after the first negotiations, FIRE&FOOD acquired the license for the competition. We are delighted to bring together the grill elite from all over Europe in Cologne.

After a successful press event in Mallorca, the Planchamania, the Grillup in Cologne offers another opportunity to highlight the versatility of the plancha.
