Delicious, fluffy cornbread is traditionally served with a classic BBQ. Bake your own fresh cornbread with Don Marco's "Cornbread" baking mix. The baking mix is much more than just flour, it is an ideal way to bake a perfect, delicious cornbread with guaranteed success without weighing or other hassle! Try it out and enjoy this exclusive treat with your BBQ.
The mixture already contains the most important ingredients for the dough, you only need to add water, buttermilk, butter and honey. A 310g pack will give you around 10 portions of corn bread. The baking pan should be around 20 x 20 cm.
Ingredients: corn flour, wheat flour, sugar, whole egg powder, glucose syrup, baking powder (acidifier: diphosphates; raising agent: sodium carbonates; starch), sea salt

The preparation of Don Marco's Cornbread baking mix for fluffy cornbread
You also add: 80 ml water, 250 ml buttermilk, 40 g melted butter, 35 g (2 tbsp) honey, a little vanilla to taste and a little butter for the mold.
Prepare the dough: Melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly. Put the baking mix, water, buttermilk and melted butter in a mixing bowl and mix with an electric hand mixer on the lowest setting for max. 1 minute.

Line the bottom of the 20 x 20 cm baking pan with baking paper, lightly grease the edge with butter and pour the dough into the pan. Alternatively, the cornbread can also be prepared in a preheated, well-greased cast iron pan or a Dutch oven of a similar size. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf or in the grill with indirect heat. After baking, brush with honey and serve warm. Refine your cornbread by adding small cubes of cheese, roasted bacon or chili slices, for example.
