The new year begins as the old one ended - in lockdown. Who would have thought, when the virus appeared here a year ago, that it would keep us busy for so long? And there is still no end in sight. It is very likely that we will have to come to terms with the virus in the future, and without the danger of the constant threat of lockdowns. This regulation will not be the solution, especially since the social and economic damage of lockdowns is not included in an overall assessment of the situation. In my opinion, politicians are listening far too much to virologists here and at the same time failing to take large parts of the population along with them on the path of living with Corona with honesty and trust.
For this reason, among other things, we in the editorial team decided some time ago to give FIRE&FOOD more relevance. Not only to show grilled meat in the best light, but also to take a look behind the scenes. With the task of informing you as a reader so that you can form your own opinion and act responsibly. In the future, we will give more space to all topics that touch on our favorite topic of grilling and BBQ. From enjoying coffee to weather protection in the garden, FIRE&FOOD shows the whole world of outdoor living.
Last year's barbecue boom is having a big impact on the market. Significantly more barbecues than ever before are being offered on the market in 2021. And this despite sharply increased freight and material costs, which most manufacturers are unable to pass on to the buyer. They can look forward to moderate prices and expand their barbecue equipment without putting a dent in their wallet. Stationary barbecue retailers can also offer these attractive offers. Many retailers can be reached with "Click and Collect" during a lockdown - remember this! As a FIRE&FOOD subscriber, you should pay attention to the club card voucher on the address label. As in 2020, it will be difficult to hold events in 2021, which we very much regret. All events up to the summer holidays are already in question.
