Planchas and griddle plates are enjoying increasing popularity in Europe, as they allow for versatile and sociable grilling on hot metal. Originally from Spain and France, the plancha has been experiencing a comeback for some time now. Even the major grill brands have expanded their product range to include planchas, thus promoting a new grilling culture.
With the "Planchamania" event, FIRE&FOOD will bring together leading grill, plancha, and fire plate brands on the Spanish island of Mallorca on March 22, 2026, to showcase the diversity and trends surrounding planchas and fire plates. The event will take place at Motorworld Mallorca. Around 500 guests are invited, including influencers, international press, and grilling enthusiasts.

- Planchamania features the relevant grill brands with planchas and fire plates for the European market.
- During the event, the manufacturers' best grill masters present new products and trends to the audience, media representatives and influencers.
- In a competition, teams made up of grill masters and media representatives can experience the culinary delights of cooking on a plancha grill firsthand. The competition will be judged by a panel of prominent judges.
- Presentation and tasting of food and drinks, matching the plancha recipes.
